For my next descriptive fantasia of Erza Read, I have chosen The Witches’ Meeting. I decided to record this one using Organteq as the various timbres of the organ really bring the piece to life. I also added a few tubular bells too. (The typo on the cover art isn’t mine!)
I found this one on IMSLP https://imslp.org/wiki/The_Witches_Meeting_(Read%2C_Ezra). It’s dated there as 1895. Sadly, it’s not one I for which I own an original.
No video (the one I originally used was blocked for copyright reasons, even though I thought it was out of copyright).
It’s a fun piece (and the odd slip gives it a live feel).
