After playing through a lot of Ezra Read’s descriptive fantasias, I thought it would be fun to try one of his non-descriptive pieces. I chose this Morceau de Salon because at first glance it seemed to be one of Read’s more challenging pieces, although as it turns out there aren’t many technicalities to this one. It’s a very enjoyable piece to play.
On the filming side this one had a new angle and a funny lighting setup; I think the reflections on the piano messed with the exposure. This one is using the Erard 1922 on Pianoteq.
